Our values

Organic & environmentally responsible

By eating correctly and healthily, we nourish our bodies and minds while at the same time preserving nature.

Labelled 100% organic

The BIO Label meets the European specifications for organic farming. This is how Biorganic carefully selects and in accordance with the strictest hygiene standards all its products from certified organic production.
Organic is a paradise of well-being and flavors!

Sustainable development & short-circuits

We work with local producers and mainly with artisan cooperative farmers focused on people and not on profit in order to reduce as much as possible the carbon footprint of each meal served and to develop a direct link between farmers and consumers.

Committed to a sustainable development policy, the accessories used in our kitchens (dishes, cups, tablecloths, napkins) are all recyclable and/or biodegradable. From the production of meals to their delivery, the entire process respects environmental values.

Biorganic’s commitments

Certified Certisys since 2010

Created by a group of pioneers with a passion for the earth, engineers and agronomists firmly convinced of the need to protect the soil and farming, CERTISYS was founded in 1991 to guarantee the inspection and the reliable certification of organic farming.

The control system used in this industry is one of the key aspects enabling it to develop healthily, guaranteeing the authenticity of organic products and avoiding fraud. The resulting certification provides assurance for all stakeholders that a product has been developed in line with the requirements of the organic sector.

The healthy balance achieved in organic farming makes it possible for consumers to purchase healthy products and for operators to guarantee quality and to derive profit from their economic activities while the environment is respected and managed sustainably. As CERTISYS sees it, it's vital to maintain this balance, which is a key asset for the organic sector and which is perfectly in keeping with BIORGANIC’s values.

Fairtrade

The Fairtrade label helps consumers to identify products whose ingredients are derived from fairtrade and for which the production, processing and marketing meet fairtrade standards. The standards seek to guarantee democratic organisational structures, environmental protection and the best possible working conditions.

The label also enables cooperatives comprised of small-scale producers to obtain stable and fairer prices and to build up long lasting business relationships.

At Biorganic, our main Fairtrade products include: tea, rice, quinoa, sugar, chocolate, banana and pineapple.

MSC sustainable fishing

Sustainable fishing leaves enough fish in the oceans, respects marine environments and enables those people who depend on fishing to earn a living from their activities. Wild, traceable and sustainable, the MSC label only applies to wild fish or seafood from fisheries which have been certified as sustainable based on the MSC standard.

•  Certified sustainable wild fish: each MSC certified fishery has been independently assessed with regard to its impact on fish stocks and marine ecosystems.

•  Guaranteed traceability: throughout the supply chain from the ocean to the plate, MSC certified fish and seafood is separated from those which are not certified. They are clearly identified, which means that they can be traced back to the certified sustainable fishery.

•  A rigorous programme: DNA tests regularly demonstrate that MSC labelled products have been correctly labelled.

•  A credible label: for more than 20 years, MSC has worked closely with scientists, fisheries and brands to develop their standards and promote sustainable fishing. The MSC label is the only certification and labelling programme for wild fish meeting the best practices required by the FAO and the ISEAL (International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling Alliance). With the MSC label, Biorganic guarantees you that all of its fish and seafood are derived from sustainable fishing.
